Red Dwarf star Steven Wickham is returning to Llandudno this September to meet fans of his work on both Red Dwarf and Doctor Who!

Steven began his career after leaving college and joining a theatre in education group called Bucket Theatre, touring schools in Buckinghamshire, performing at one occasion for HRH Princess Anne. For 18 months he played The Baker in Bill Kenwright's memorable national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and many theatre jobs followed.

His television career started with his roles in Doctor Who back in 1984 where he played the role of a Gastropod in The Twin Dilemma: Part One opposite Colin Baker, and went on to also star as a Soldier in The Caves of Androzani: Part One starring Peter Davison. Moving forward to 1993 Steven played the role as Lister's GELF bride in Red Dwarf episode Emohawk: Polymorph II. He became the only character other than the four primary regulars to appear in the title sequence. Nineteen years later he reappeared on Red Dwarf X (episode Entangled), this time playing the chief of a group of Biologically Engineered Garbage Gobblers.

Steven has appeared in numerous Big Finish Audio dramas, in many guises, most notably Doggles (under the pseudonym of Sam Stevens) and Joseph in the Bernice Summerfield series and Chancellor Valyes in the Gallifrey series.

Steven is very happy to be returning to Scifi Wales this September and hopes to meet many new faces as well as the fans he met last year at our first event.
