We are very happy to announce that Alan Harris will be joining us this September at Scifi Wales. Alan who is probably best known for his roles in Star Wars started working in the entertainment business many years ago, originally as a model, moving on to work in films. His film work includes James Bond - The Living Daylights, Hellraiser and 4 films from the popular Star Wars franchise (Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi).

During his time on Star Wars, Alan stood in and body doubled for Terence Stamp who played Chancellor Valorum in Episode I, was Princess Leia's escort in Star Wars IV as well as being fitted for original prototype Boba Fett costume (which was white) and was cast for the Han in Carbonite module with Harrison Ford's face added after. Still in A New Hope, he stood in for Anthony Daniels as C-3P0 for four months during filming, portrayed the Bespin guard Bislav Merril, played a Stormtrooper and portrayed the bounty hunter Bossk for which he is most famous for. Alan returned for Star Wars VI again as Anthony Daniel's stand in as C-3P0.

Alan's career also spanned the world of Television and fans of Space 1999 may remember him from quite a few episodes of the cult favourite.
