The Force will be strong at Scifi Wales this September with the announcement of our latest guest Brian Muir, one of the most respected sculptors and artists in the film industry who has been working in film for over 46 years. Brian happens to be the person who sculpted the iconic helmet of Star Wars' Darth Vader. He also sculpted the Stormtrooper armour, Death Star Droid, CZ-3 and finishing work on C-3PO.

Brian's long career in props and sculpting started in 1968 when he began a 4 year apprenticeship as a sculptor/modeller at Elstree Film Studios. After completing his apprenticeship, Brian left the film industry and honed his skills by working on many prestigious commissions in London i.e. Royal Coat of Arms for the Crown. In 1976 Brian was asked to return to Elstree Studios to work on Star Wars and his long film career began. Brian has worked on films such as Alien, Indiana Jones, Krull, James Bond, Willow, Tomb Raider, Planet of the Apes and many more, and we can't wait to speak to him on stage in September at Scifi Wales.
